Makiko Minowa’s works are always filled with a sense of loneliness and nostalgia. They tickle forgotten memories and foretell the continuation of a dream that has yet to be seen.

The “common scenery” in front of the artist’s eyes overlaps with the “daily life” of each viewer, and evokes many “common scenery” that is nowhere to be found, but seems to be everywhere.

Makiko Minowa is a Japanese illustrator, born and living in Tokyo. She graduated from Musashino Art University, and completed her studies in illustration at Aoyama Juku. She is active in advertising, books, magazines and other areas.
