大概在2011年的一次日本旅行，在參觀日本森美術館的店舖時，無意間遇上FUROSHIKI SHIKI這個系列，首先是因為被那半透明奶白色的設計吸引，當時一心只是想買一個最小的作紀念，回家後把它用作散銀包，用後發現它很好用，放入去的東西一目了然，而且最喜歡它很容易清潔，放在手袋時細細小小。後來打算再到日本時，把其他尺寸都買下來，卻發現沒法再遇上了。再到網上搜尋時，發現有很多朋友用後再次想買時亦屢尋不果。闊別多年，最近再次遇上它，加上現在有自己的店，就鐵定把這個愛用系列帶到店內，亦好讓自己不會再有錯過它的遺憾。

FUROSHIKI SHIKI

The zipper and button-free bag series “furoshiki shiki” (means “furoshiki style”) consists of products made out of one sheet of semi-transparent vinyl “film”. This sheet is turned into a bag by folding it, using the adhesive qualities of the material. The vinyl is easy to clean, washing with soap retains the material’s adhesive qualities.

ABOUT SAMIRA BOON

Studio Samira Boon, based in Amsterdam and Tokyo, is a Dutch design studio that makes functional products and textiles focusing on simplicity and tactility. Samira Boon lived in Japan for four years, where she started her design studio.
